Poetry: form and technique - £250

This ten-unit course is for the practising poet who would like to work on form and method, for personal satisfaction or eventual publication. Download a full course outline here.

Each course unit includes an assignment made up of several exercises, including reading, research and the creation of your own new poems. After submitting each completed assignment to your tutor, you will receive full feedback on your work along with your next course unit, usually within two weeks.

You can take up to eighteen months to complete your course, working at your own pace and submitting your assignments to your tutor when you are ready. If you have any questions about this course that are not answered here, please contact us.

Prose should by typed in 12 point Arial on an A4 page, and double-spaced. Poems should be single-spaced.

We can accept handwritten copy only if the handwriting is very clear and the text is well-spaced on the page. Work will be returned as for hard copy above.

When you send your work

Always keep a copy. Word Doctors can't accept responsibility for damage to or loss of original manuscripts, either in transit or while they are in our care.
